Overview

The UN recently released the UN Sustainable Development Report 2020. It’s principle co-ordinator was Guillame Lafortune. We are delighted that he has joined us to discuss the report and, given the current pandemic, his observations on what the data is telling us about how UN member states are coping with Covid-19.

Guillaume Lafortune is a senior economist at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). He coordinates the production of the annual Sustainable Development Report which tracks the performance of all UN member states on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agreed by the global community in 2015. He also leads other statistical and policy work on sustainable development. Prior to joining the SDSN, Guillaume held positions at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and at the Ministry of Economic Development in Quebec (Canada).
